Come celebrate Chicago’s past and present beer culture with Brooklyn Brewery as we go behind the scenes of the cities growing craft beer scene with Michael Kiser, creator of GoodBeerHunting.com, and local historian Bill Savage.
Winner of Saveur Magazine’s 2013 'Best Beer Blog' award, Good Beer Hunting is Michael's personal, photographic journey though the industry, highlighting the people, places and products that stand out along the way. From exploring craft breweries in Boulder to sipping a lager with locals in Sweden, Michael's site chronicles his international explorations in the beer world and is a virtual hub for all things beer.
Bill Savage’s book, Chicago by Day and Night is a resurrected 1892 guide to Chicago’s entertainment nooks and crannies offered to tourists and travelers who flocked to Chicago by the hundreds of thousands for the World’s Columbian Exhibition.
Moderating will be Christopher Quinn of The Beer Temple. The Beer Temple is a craft beer store, owned and operated by Christopher and Margaret Quinn of Chicago, Illinois. Chris is recognized by the Siebel Institute of Technology, America's oldest brewing school, as a Master of Beer Styles and Evaluation. He is a Certified Cicerone, a recognized judge with the Beer Judge Certification Program, and member of the beer panel at the Beverage Testing Institute. Margaret is a Certified Beer Server, and has also completed classes at the Siebel Institute of Technology.
Admission includes a Brooklyn Brewery beer, and a portion of all proceeds will benefit Slow Food Chicago. RSVP now to reserve your spot!
