Tuesday, April 30 – Friday, May 3
5 - 7pm
Max's Taphouse
737 South Broadway, Baltimore, MD
Free
We're setting up shop and getting real comfortable at Max's to get The Mash started right. The taps will be attacked with a fierce array of Brooklyn beers including Brooklyn Lager, Sorachi Ace, Pennant Ale '55, East India Pale Ale, Brooklyn Brown Ale, BLAST! and Brooklyn Silver Anniversary Ale. House Chef Andrew also has his "Brooklyn Burger" (New York state sharp cheddar, Brown Ale sautéed onions, & crispy bacon) on the menu.
If that's not enough, check out each evening's special programming:
Tuesday, 4/30
Brooklyn Cask Off
We're debuting our cask program for the first time in the history of the state of Maryland. We like to say that we're the largest producer of cask beer in the U.S. We've never done the work to prove that but why don't you come by and see how we do it the old English way. Two types of real ale will be poured. Those types are TBA.
Wednesday, 5/1
Gank Your Glass
We're celebrating the beginning of Summer -- or at least the beginning of Summer Ale season -- with specials on Brooklyn Summer Ale and related giveaways. Order a Summer Ale and take home a Brooklyn pint glass. We'll raffle off a signed copy of Brewmaster Garrett Oliver's Oxford Companion To Beer & a Steve Hindy edition homebrew kit.
Thursday, 5/2
Brooklyn Blackout
It's gonna be dark out on this night. Order vintage Black Chocolate Stout, the beer which doesn't exist and try the mother of all beer cocktails, the Brooklyn Black Flip.
Friday, 5/3
Silver Anniversary Parallel Tasting
To celebrate our 25th year on planet Earth, we've released a dopplebock version of our original Brooklyn Lager. Released as a part of our 1st Quarter Brewmaster's Reserve we also bottled it in 750ml packages. Try the two versions side-by-side. One round's probably enough as she clocks in around 9% ABV but we leave that up to you.
The Mash is an interactive tour of our favorite food, music, comedy, literature and beer, visiting 11 cities from March-December in 2013.
