Brooklyn Brewery and Timberland Present: Lower Dens & Beverly

Saturday, October 10. Doors at 7 PM.
Rock and Roll Hotel
1353 H Street NE, Washington, DC, 20002
Free RSVPs open now.

The closing weekend of a Mash is always a good reason to throw a party. Join us and Timberland for a full night of live music, partying, and plenty of Brooklyn Brewery beer. Lower Dens will be headlining the night with their warm, luscious guitars and infectious beats, keeping the vibes going from the fuzzed-up rock of openers Beverly. Keep an eye here for more on the party, the beers, and when to RSVP to join us for a free night of celebrating the Mash. Remember, you must be 21 or over with a valid photo ID to attend this show.

Lower Dens are a quartet from Baltimore, packed full of oddly danceable rhythms, waves of guitar and a driving vocal presence from lead Jana Hunter. Their most recent album, Escape From Evil, received rave reviews from everyone from Pitchfork to Rolling Stone and is about to occupy your "favorites" playlist.

"Like a lot of current music, Escape From Evil siphons its aesthetic from the storied pop of the '80s, but it’s not content to stop at homage. Lower Dens use the past—its clichés and its innocence—as a lens through which to imagine a queer and open future."- Pitchfork

Brooklyn duo Beverly have been shaking up the borough with their infectious garage-rock sound and grab-you-by-the-spine live shows. They are also well-known producers for local bands like Scully, and are rarely far from their next raucous gig.

"[Drew] Citron is the lead songwriter, but [Frankie] Rose’s sugary harmonies are a good reason to listen to anything, and they are very much in evidence on “Honey Do,” the duo’s new song. It’s a fuzzy, warm ’90s-style twee-pop jam."- Stereogum
