Mash Bash w. Marnie Stern, Killmama & Kazoots

At the end of the day, The Mash is a festival. And what festival is complete without a soundtrack? Certainly not this one. That's why after a full week of feasting on good food, expanding our minds at panels and classes, and filling our bellies with delicious brews, we celebrate our last evening in town with a Bash: a Mash Bash.

We're bringing everything we find exciting about the Brooklyn music and arts scene out for one night in an explosion of sound and color. The video artists from Nuit Blance New York will bring the eyecandy, while Marnie Stern brings the noise, along with local openers Killmama & Kazoots. The show is free, so bring just enough cash for Brooklyn cans and the merch table.

"Judging solely from the music she makes, it would be easy to assume that Marnie Stern resides on some other — presumably much more high energy — planet than the rest of us. Over the course of three frenetic albums, Stern has essentially created her own highly particular brand of rock music. Her songs are generally sprawling affairs that are epic in scope and characterized by Stern’s distinctive guitar playing: super-technical, hyper-meticulous shreds that sound as if they are being zinged out into the universe at about a million miles an hour." - Stereogum

"If you’ve lost your memory for riding around in that fat white van with drum gear bouncing around the back from venue to venue hoping to make enough gas money to get you to the next destination, than que up Killmama to relive the good days, you know, when you were reallllllly happy." - Dingus
