Animation Block Party

Animation Block Party is a top-tier animation festival that has been produced on the East Coast since 2004. The Mash brings highlights from Animation Block Party to your front door, screening celebrated shorts and features from the around the country. We'll be featuring exclusive peeks at Prison Pit from comic book legend Johnny Ryan, and SuperF***ers from James Kochalka.

Several award winning London based animators will also be featured at the screening, including Robert Grieves, Swantje Wenz, Greg McLeod, Sarah Beeby, Daniel Greaves and Louis Hudson. Casey Safron is the founder and creative director of Animation Block Party,  the largest animation festival on the East Coast. The first Animation Block Party festival was September 9, 2004 in Brooklyn. In addition to his festival work, Safron has also developed original cartoons for MTV, The Sundance Channel and many others. He currently lives in Brooklyn and continues to work to produce, draw and spread all forms of animation.
