The Tour

Brooklyn Meets:

New Orleans, LA

-

Mash Bash with Marnie Stern ft Native America

One Eyed Jacks
615 Toulouse Street New Orleans
FREE

New Orlean's jazzy spirit is only matched by the burgeoning scene of funk, freak-folk and rock demi-gods spilling out of its small dives and basements. We're going to celebrate the weird and wonderful with our own Marnie Stern. In addition to her unique songwriting and singing, Ms. Stern brings one of the most impressive guitar playing techniques to the stage that you're likely to see. She'll also be joined by NOLA hometown heroes, Native America and their particular brand of surf-fuzz pop.

Just bring enough cash for some Brooklyn cans and maybe a Dirty Coast shirt, because entrance to One Eyed Jack's is free.

We've teamed up with local designers, Dirty Coast, to create a special Brooklyn Brewery shirt just for this year's Mash. Pick up one of their limited edition tees at the table next to ours. Also, say 'hi' to us and we'll give you something with our logo on it.

"Judging solely from the music she makes, it would be easy to assume that Marnie Stern resides on some other — presumably much more high energy — planet than the rest of us. Over the course of three frenetic albums, Stern has essentially created her own highly particular brand of rock music. Her songs are generally sprawling affairs that are epic in scope and characterized by Stern’s distinctive guitar playing: super-technical, hyper-meticulous shreds that sound as if they are being zinged out into the universe at about a million miles an hour." - Stereogum
