Of all the ways to enjoy music, a free show with plenty of beer is hard to beat. Join us as we take over to St. John at Hackney Church, one of the "most awe-inspiring places in London to catch a gig," according to Time Out. We'll be getting loud with METZ and Hey Colossus in a display of jagged guitars and thundering drums to shake the dust out of the rafters. The bars will be stocked with Brooklyn Brewery beer for all, so get in, grab a cold one, and get ready to lose your mind for a little while.
METZ are a hard-charging, relentlessly touring, endlessly enjoyable band, riding the energy of their 2014 sophomore album II. They describe the album by saying, "The guitars are titanic, the drums ill-tempered, the vocals chilling, and the volume worrisome...[it] stays true to what made us tick in the first place: that immediacy. If it punches you in the gut." METZ certainly hits hard, but you'll enjoy the swing. Check out their video for their song "Eraser" right here.
Hey Colossus catch you squarely in the chest with massive riffs and stomping drums, throwing up a cloud of sweat-soaked noise rock that dares you not to dance. After releasing two albums in 2015, Black and Gold and Radio Static High, the group has taken its gleeful, messy live show around the world. Check out the video for their single "Black and Gold" right here.
